This is a new one; a Denver man who was diagnosed with "popcorn lung," possibly from inhaling the artificial butter smell of the microwave popcorn has won a $7.2 million verdict against various food companies. A Denver TV station reports defense attorneys had argued Watson's health problems were from his years of working with carpet-cleaning chemicals and not from popcorn butter.

Tampa Police broke up a huge tax fraud ring yesterday, with the arrest of two Tampa men; Maurice Larry and Marterrence Holloway. Both have been indicted in federal court on charges of conspiring to defraud the United States, commit wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and access device fraud. Warrants were also served at a home in Wimauma and more arrests made in the case that was two years in the making.

The State Attorney’s Office released new documents in the case against George Zimmerman yesterday, the man who confessed to killing Trayvon Martin in self-defense. Those show that the only DNA on the gun used came from George Zimmerman

The Rays snapped a four-game losing streak in style at the Trop last night, beating the Boston Red Sox 13-3. Despite the win the Rays are still 6½ games behind the AL East-leading New York Yankees, who swept a day-night doubleheader against Toronto.

The shuttle Endeavour took off from Kennedy Space Center yesterday morning, heading over to Houston on the trip to California on top that modified 747. Endeavour's journey west is NASA's last ferry flight for a space shuttle.The last remaining shuttle, Atlantis is at the Kennedy Space Center on a permanent display at the KSC Visitor Complex.
