The largest online educator in the nation is facing charges from the Florida Department of Education that it’s violating state law by using uncertified teachers. The accusations also include asking certified teachers to sign class rosters for students they had not taught. Those schools include the Hillsborough County Online Instruction Program, the Pinellas Virtual School and the Pasco Virtual Instruction Program among other. The company, K12, denies the charges.

It turns out the person shot by a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Daniel Cole at the Royal Palms Cemetery was the owner of the cemetery. Trooper Cole told the FDLE, who is investigating the shooting that he was tracking a Lowjack signal when he found Clifford Work of Tampa in a garage at the back of the cemetery and that Work was armed.
