They’re back! The NFL and the referees union have reached a tentative contract agreement. The lockout that began in June triggered the not so successful use of replacements. The refs should be back at work at tonight's Cleveland at Baltimore game. 

A fugitive from Miami-Dade County wanted on five counts of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer was caught during a traffic stop on McMullen Booth yesterday. Andy Roman was first spotted around 580 and 19, and now faces additional charges for attempting to evade arrest.

More railroad track repairs on 66th Street North at 90th Avenue North in Pinellas Park will make a mess of traffic for the next week. The area between Bryan Dairy Road and Park Boulevard will be closed starting Friday; try alternates like U.S. 19 and Belcher Road to avoid congestion. They hope to have the work completed and the intersection reopened a week from tomorrow. 

The Rays won their seventh straight, beating the Red Sox last night, 4-2. But, they stay 3½ games behind the AL wild-card-leading Orioles, beat Toronto, and three behind the A's, who hold the second wild card and beat Texas.
