Control officers found the dog in the back of a vacant house in the Clair-Mel area last month. They named the two year old pit bull mix Phoebe, who is doing much better after weighing in at only 30 pounds. Hillsborough County Animal Services can be reached at (813) 744-5660.

Teacher Lori Farmer asked him to come to the school and he accepted.
