Tomorrow is Election Day and the totals from early voting and mail in ballots in the Bay area seem to be record-setting for Hillsborough and Pasco counties. No record for Pinellas, but voting is already at 40% in the county, and they did set a record for mail in ballot requests.


One Florida county did have their request granted to extend early voting hours. Flagler County was allowed to stay open an additional four hours. It was shut down Saturday while authorities investigated a suspicious package.


President Obama’s final campaign stop will be in Des Moines, Iowa today. Stops area also scheduled in Wisconsin and Ohio. Mitt Romney will be back in Florida, in addition to Ohio, New Hampshire and Virginia

A Polk County deputy was shot in the leg Sunday by a suicidal man armed with a high power rifle. 42 year old Doug Meadows shot at Lt Terry Storie who was hit by a ricocheting bullet, but has already been released from the hospital. Meadows faces numerous charges of attempted first degree murder on a law enforcement officer.


Yes, the NYC Marathon was officially canceled this weekend due to damage from Super Storm Sandy, but a lot of runners showed up and staged their own mini marathon. About four laps around Central Park accomplished that. Many others took supplies to those in need.

The Bucs beat the Raiders yesterday 42-32. The Bucs’ Doug Martin set a team-record with four touchdown runs in the second half, and also set a single-game rushing mark.
