The New York Stock Exchange was back open, Laguardia and Newark Liberty airports reopened yesterday, with limited service as the east coast continues recover from super storm Sandy. So far the storm is blamed for at least 72 deaths, and accounts for billions of dollars in damages. Almost seven million homes are still without power.

Early voting continues through Saturday; remember to bring a photo ID with you, and they are allowing you to bring a sample ballot along that you can fill out in advance. That will help a lot since the ballot is so long. The election is this Tuesday.

The search continues for the Robin Walbridge, the captain of the HMS Bounty, which was headed to St Pete for a November 10th remains missing after the ship sank south of Cape Hatteras trying to outrun Hurricane Sandy. The Coast Guard had rescued 14 crew members earlier, and recovered the body of another.

Organizers of the NYC Marathon say they’re going try and pull off Sunday’s scheduled run. The 26.2-mile route through the five boroughs does avoid most of the areas hit hardest by flooding. Almost 50,000 runners were supposed to participate. And the Great White Way should reopen with Broadway show performances.

Not your usual delivery room, but one Tampa baby just couldn’t wait and was born on the side of 275, just north of Bearss. Catelyn Crossley  weighs in at 5 pounds, 3 ounces. Mom Candace, Dad Clenton and Catelyn are doing just fine at St Joseph Women’s Hospital.
