A Rare Chance To See The Venus Transit

Sun
Don't stare at the sun today!

Previous Posts

Yesterday it was the ring around the sun that had everyone talking and today, it’s Venus crossing the sun! You can safely watch what’s going on via the NASA web site. Cool opportunity to give the kids a chance to witness history as well, since it won’t happen again for 105 years. We only get to witness a few hours of the event but it takes a total of six hours and forty minutes for Venus to complete the track across the sun. Take a look at this list to find exactly where you’ll be able to see it where you live, and the live stream from NASA here. If our weather is too cloudy here to get a good look at the event, at least you can get a peak from somewhere else in the world! Let me know what you saw at ann.kelly@coxmg.com.
