It was a long night for the Rays, with their game winding up at 3:15 this morning, and they ended up losing to the Oakland  A’s 4-3 in 15 innings, with the game lasting just over five hours. The Rays ended up with a record 21 strikeouts, and walked ten.

Not a great idea to run red lights in Clearwater; those tickets are now up to $158 at intersections like Gulf to Bay at Belcher, and eastbound Chestnut at Fort Harrison. Over the last 3 years there have been 250 accidents at those two locations, caused by red light runners.

Police believe former Middleton High football star OJ Murdock took his own life yesterday in front of Middleton High School; he died after being taken to TGH.

They evacuated the Ritz in Ybor City yesterday afternoon after a rumored shooting threat was reported to police; about 1,000 people were sent out onto 7^th Ave as police swept the club, and everyone was allowed back in for a show about two hours later. Police didn’t know if it was a credible threat, but after the shootings in Colorado said they weren’t taking any chances.
