Cussing Could Cost You At Work

Engage brain before mouth

Better choose your words more carefully at work; there’s a new survey that says it could actually cost you a promotion. Web site CareerBuilder, says that 57 percent of employers might be less likely to promote someone who used swear words at work. A majority of employers, 81 percent, believe cussing at the office makes an employee seem less professional and less intelligent.

A month away from the start of the RNC and St Pete Mayor Bill Foster would like a little help from Tampa…money to pay for security at the Trop during the welcome party August 26th. Foster has said that city taxpayers wouldn't pay to protect 20,000 dignitaries, delegates and journalists at the event or any other convention activities held in St. Petersburg.

The Hillsborough County Health Department has reported a security breach. An employee has been charged with removing documents for more than 300 clients that were taken out of the department, and could have been used for fraud. That person has been fired and the case turned over to police.

A sad end to the story for a two year old Pasco County boy who was found in a pond right across the street from his home. Trent Wayman was found by a neighbor during a search of the neighborhood around 9 am. Police are conducting an investigation.

Another good game for the Rays beat the Orioles last night 10-1, scoring more than they had in their previous four games combined.
