Florida once again holds the dubious distinction of being the foreclosure capitol of the US, posting the nation's highest foreclosure rate in November for the third month in a row. But across the rest of the country, foreclosures were actually down to an almost six year low.

About those red light cameras. It seems that red light running was on the increase. According to newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, since the installation last November of cameras at 10 intersections, the number of crashes is actually higher. St Pete City Council will meet today to take a look at the findings of a new report on those lights

Florida has a new Education Commissioner. A panel chose Dr. Tony Bennett, a Republican who lost his bid for re-election in Indiana last month from three finalists. He’ll start the new job on January 14th.

The body of a missing Seminole family was recovered by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s office yesterday around 113th Street North and 102nd Avenue, near St. Petersburg College's Seminole campus.  Robert Dulin was last seen was leaving Congressman Bill Young’s office on the 4th, and heading home to the Pine Tree Manor Assisted Living Facility. Police do not consider the death suspicious at this time.

Adrian Jayden Diaz will forever be known as the 12-12-12 baby. He was born at exactly 12 minutes after noon, on December 12, 2012 at Bayfront Baby Place. Mother Jessica, Dad Adrian and AJ are all doing fine.

There’s still no progress in the NHL lockout talks; this time federal mediators couldn’t even get the two sides into the same room. No new meetings are scheduled and all games through Dec. 30 have been canceled, along with the New Year's Day Winter Classic, and the All-Star game.

Last night’s sold out Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden featured everyone from Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Jon Stewart from The Daily Show and The Rolling Stones. All proceeds will be distributed by The Robin Hood Foundation, with over $30 million raised with ticket sales alone.
