A jury has found Dee Dee Moore guilty of the murder of lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare. The sentence was for life without parole as prosecutors had decided not to go for the death penalty. It was assault with an overhead. A New Port Richey man has been arrested and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer after closing a garage door on the officer’s head. Officers Gerard Doran's home Sunday after a delivery driver called them and complained that one of Doran's dogs bit him. Officers said Doran was drunk, and tried to run inside his home when officers arrived. That’s when he closed the garage door, striking one officer and was arrested.
