We’re continuing to track Isaac, which on its present path would bring it into the Bay area on Monday. Yesterday, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said if the storm does head for the Bay area, they are absolutely prepared to call it off, saying safety and life trump politics. The latest track on Isaac is always available on our Hurricane Guide at WDUV.com.

A lot of people who live in those flood prone areas who already suffered damage from TS Debbie are making their preparations; Hillsborough County has sandbags available to the public from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., starting this morning (Aug. 23) at all three County Public Works Service Units.

They’re still looking for two school buses stolen from Hillsborough County that belong to Miles Elementary School in Tampa just days before the start of classes. They were some concerns they would be used by protestors at the RNC.

The Rays beat the Royal 5-3 yesterday, bringing them within 3 game of the Yankees who lost yesterday.

A very lucky pilot is back on dry land, after his single-engine Piper  plane crashed in the Gulf of Mexico off the Pasco County coast Wednesday morning. The U.S. Coast Guard picked up the pilot who used his cell phone to call 911 after he swam away from the wreckage shortly before noon.
