Families did get word of the delays through the automated message system from the schools.

Tampa PD has already dealt with what they believe were RNC related protest issues; earlier this week, brick and pipes were found on the roof of a building at Florida and Tyler streets, and now spray painted images of Guy Fawkes have shown up on some building. Masks using that image are used by protesters.Vice President Joe Biden is coming in for the RNC, not as an invitee, of course. He has visits scheduled in Tampa for Monday, and other cities Tuesday. He’ll be onstage in Charlotte at the DNC next month.

Natalie Wood’s death certificate has been amended nine months after sheriff's homicide investigators renewed their inquiry into Wood's death shortly before its 30th anniversary; according to the sheriff’s office it shifts Wood's death from an accidental drowning to "drowning and other undetermined factors”. It also says that the circumstances of how the actress ended up in the waters off Catalina Island in November 1981 are "not clearly established”.
