We knew that Kristen Stewart Stewart was famous, beloved, and amazing, but who knew just how much people wanted to hang out with her? While we’ve been saving up our allowances (dang it, why don’t we get allowance anymore?) to buy a ticket to see her in Sils Maria next year, it takes a whole lot more to get to see her in person. How much more? Half a million dollars.
The news broke at a Toronto International Film Festival screening of 12.12.12, the movie of a Hurricane Sandy relief concert a bunch of celebs put on last year. Harvey Weinstein, who was executive producer on the project, told the audience during a discussion about how it came to be that Kristen Stewart was offered half a million dollars.
Um, how do they tie together, you might ask? Well, apparently the story goes that a Middle Eastern prince approached the concert organizers, and offered a big chunk of change to the fund if he could just meet KStew. Naturally, Harv told Kristen about what had happened. Her response? “How much?”
While we’re not sure what the original offer was, apparently negotiations were made and when it got up to $500,000, KStew agreed to meet the unnamed prince. “Kristen [sat] with the guy for 15 minutes,” Harvey says of the eventual meeting. In case you just pulled out your abacus, we’ll save you some time: A Middle Eastern prince paid Keeks $33,333.33 a minute to sit with her.
Looks like we’ll have to save a lot of allowances if we want a minute of her time...
