From March 23rd to the 24th, Hyde Park Village will transform into an outdoor gallery style art show!

Bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography and jewelry are among the original works of art that will transform Hyde Park into an outdoor gallery style art show.   This free two-day event features the finest artists in the country including exceptional local artists, who will line Swann and Dakota Avenues in Hyde Park Village with their professional display booths.  The art festival affords the public an ideal opportunity in which to meet and speak with the artists who will be present for the duration of the show.  Admission is FREE and open to the public!

Among the nationally acclaimed artists exhibiting at this popular festival is sculptor Fredrick Prescott based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  His colorful larger-than-life kinetic sculptures are an impressive highlight of the art show and captivate festival-goers of all ages. Prescott is known for his animal-inspired, multi-dimensional creations of moving steel. Most of his whimsical works of art weigh 4 to 8-tons and measure up to 20 feet. Prescott’s sculptures have been commissioned by Hollywood’s A-listers, including Oprah, Sly Stallone and Steven Spielberg. His clients include collectors from the US and around the world.

Festival patrons will have the opportunity to register to win a 16" x 20" giclee of the "Lioness" by award-winning artist Janet Mokher, valued at $375.   Janet Mokher, a native of Miami, Florida, is an accomplished oil painter.  She is inspired by the colors and textures of her tropical surroundings and her spirituality plays an integral part of her creative process. Janet is a veteran artist of festivals produced by Howard Alan Events.  Festival patrons will be able to meet and speak with Janet during the festival as she welcomes the opportunity to discuss her work with art enthusiasts and potential investors. To explore Janet’s work visit her website at www.JanetMokher.com .  Registration will take place at Janet's booth on Saturday during festival hours and on Sunday until 4:00 pm when the drawing will take place.   No purchase is necessary to participate in this giveaway.

The Lincoln Motor Company, Presenting Sponsor of the festival, will be awarding a limited number of quality collector edition posters of “Lincoln Road”, a painting created by participating artist April Davis.  The original painting measuring 8 feet x 5 feet, will be on display in April’s booth, across from The Lincoln Motor Company display.  April will sign each poster for patrons if they stop by her booth.  In addition, festival-goers will have the opportunity to register to win two additional giveaways. The first is for a chance to win a limited edition, fine art 36-inch by 48-inch reproduction on canvas of April’s collectable painting titled “Guana Cay – The Bahamas” and the other is for a chance to win a 2-year lease of a 2013 Lincoln MKZ, no purchase is necessary to participate in either giveaway.  Additional details will be available at the Lincoln Motor Company booth.
