The USF Botanical Gardens is having the 15th
Annual Tropical Plant Fair on July 13, from 10:00 to 4:00 and July 14, from 10:00 to 3:00. Admission is $5. Garden members and children under twelve years old are admitted free. Parking is free.
Vendors will be selling rare and popular fruit trees. There will be vendors offering hundreds of blooming tropical and exotic plants, such as gingers, orchids, Plumeria, and more, all in a festive atmosphere.
July 13 at 11:00 AM there will be a talk by Cliff Brown on Creating Your Own Tropical Paradise. These exotic plants enhance any landscape.
July 14 offers a Pepper Beauty Contest, the tasteful beauty contest. Any one who brings a decorated pepper to enter into the Pepper Beauty Contest gets in free on Sunday. Prizes and glory for participants.
The USF Botanical Garden is located near the southwest corner of the USF Tampa campus, at the intersection of Pine and Alumni drives off Bruce B Downs Boulevard.
