The chat next Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Dalí Museum should be a doozy. The guest is Michael Maltzan, architect of the Lens, the new structure that has been picked to replace the St. Petersburg Pier and is becoming an increasingly contentious issue. Host Carol Mickett, philosopher and artist, leads this monthly series of talks with local leaders about their visions. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at the museum, One Dalí Blvd. (Bayshore Drive SE and Fifth Avenue SE) in St. Petersburg. $5, free for members. No RSVP required. There's limited seating, so don't be late.
