"Restore Gulu: Child Solider No More" documents the powerful story of restoration and hope in a community ravaged by an unthinkable war on children, and the journey of healing and forgiveness that must take place to rebuild a community. Immediately following the film, the globally renowned Watoto Children’s Choir, comprised of former orphans ages 6 to 15 years old on tour from Uganda, will appear live to perform their newest Broadway style song and dance production "Beautiful Africa: A New Generation". The Watoto Children’s Choir recently gained worldwide attention by performing for the Queen of England at Buckingham Palace, and also for the President at the White House. A VIP reception and meet & greet with the Watoto Children’s Choir will be held at 4:00pm. All proceeds will benefit the continued rescue of orphans and vulnerable women in Africa, as well as the local film community.
