This is a local running race for students, ages 5-18 years old, and is hosted by P.E. coaches from West Zephyrhills Elementary. It will be held on February 9, 2013 at 10:00am at the Zephyrhills High School stadium. The cost is just $10 and includes race entry and a T-shirt if registered by 2/1/13 (after this date entrants can still pick up a T-shirt at later date). The Bulldog Dash will have two separate races, one for ages 13-18, and the other for ages 5-12, followed by an awards ceremony. All runners need to arrive between 8:45-9:45am to pickup their race number and shirt. Awards will be given for Top 3 Boys and Top 3 Girls in each category, as well as Top overall Boy and Girl in each race. Categories are set up to be two ages per group (5-6, 7-8, 9-10 etc.). The race is a safe, 1-mile running event around the ZHS track and school. Most of the race is on campus with just a small portion on the city sidewalk. Most of the race is also on a hard surface with just a small part on grass entering the track. Volunteers will be set up along course and runners will be lead by a bicycle escort around the course.
