Ranneberger is visiting USF to speak about U.S. Foreign Policy in Africa. Ambassador Ranneberger has extensive experience in African foreign policy, serving as U.S. Ambassador to Kenya from 2006-2011, Special Advisor on Sudan from 2002-2004, and Ambassador to the Republic of Mali from 1999 to 2002. He currently serves as the Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Central Command as of September 2011. Ambassador Ranneberger is well-known for his work in Kenya regarding the political corruption and the engagement of youth in the governance and economy of their country. The lecture is part of the "Lecture Series on National Security," sponsored by the Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies in USF World.
