Download Firefox here if needed: www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/This class is required by Manatee County to provide training in Landscape Best Management Practices for anyone working in the landscape maintenance industry who DOES NOT apply fertilizer.Manatee County also requires a certification class to provide training for fertilizer applicators. That class is called the GI-BMP or Green Industry - Best Management Practices class. To find a GI-BMP class, check the calendar here: http://manatee.ifas.ufl.edu/comm-hort/calendar.shtmlThis class meets the requirements of the Manatee County fertilizer ordinance # 11-21. The ordinance requires that all employees of commercial companies, governments and in-house employees of private companies who perform landscape maintenance duties will obtain this certification.This class provides the training and testing necessary to obtain this certification. It is focused on reducing non-point source pollution resulting from landscape maintenance activities.Following completion of this training, you will be given a post-test to determine knowledge learned.If the post-test is successfully completed, you will be mailed a certificate of completion.This class may cancel if attendance is too low.Call 941-722-4524, ask for Dave if you have questions.
Deadlines:
- All employees who are not fertilizer applicators must be certified by Dec 31, 2012.
- Managers & supervisors may take either this class or the GI-BMP class to meet the requirements of the Manatee County fertilizer ordinance. Deadline is Dec 31, 2012
