On Friday, Oct. 19 at East Bay Country Club, 702 Country Club Drive in Largo, Organic Fit Kids is giving locals of all ages and career interests the opportunity to dive into the lives of a team of gymnasts by featuring a motivational family film titled Gymnastics – what does it take to be a champion? The event will feature fun for families, athletes, coaches, club owners and anyone seeking an inspiration to get motivated in their lives, with the film, a variety of health vendors and more. A healthy dinner will also be served, which includes grilled chicken, wild rice, salad and a vegetable bouquetiere. All proceeds from the event will go to Organic Fit Kids, a local educational program that teaches children, parents, teachers and school board members about organic natural foods, fitness and wellness. Barry Skywalker, host of the event and founder of Organic Fit Kids, says a goal of the event is to provide a safe place where families can have fun and experience G-rated entertainment. “We also want to raise funds for Organic Fit Kids so they continue doing live education in schools and provide webinars to schools, teachers and parents across the country,” said Skywalker of the event. “At no time in our history has children’s health been at risk because of the heavily processed, sugar-ladened foods that make up most of our children’s diets.” Organic Fit Kids mission is to provide the highest quality of information, products and services in the organic natural food, fitness and wellness industries. Doors open at East Bay Country Club at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The film will begin at 7:30 p.m. To see the film and take part in the dinner, tickets cost $30 in advance and $40 at the door.
